When I get home from work on a Saturday night after working hard all week, I pull into the driveway and shut the truck down and I take about 30 seconds and sit there in the silence and dark of the early evening. Nice and quiet, just a moment to myself.

Ha! When I worked the night shift and had to drive home to Bailey I'd pull into the drive and let me 93 Ford diesel lull me to sleep at idle. On a rare occasion I'd pull into the drive at around 0800 and wake up at 1030 or 1100, still sitting in the seat. That truck was the best sleep aid ever.

Watching snow fall. Even more so if I'm listening to some good classic jazz.

Since I drive across post early (5am) I love going to work after a snow. Nobody out yet and I have been known to play in the parking lot a little.

Fresh snow, dry driveway and a hot cup of coffee while watching my neighbors shovel.
