Okay, we are obviously not getting anywhere. I did not say that I spoke Italian and if I sang at all I would sing it in my Native tongue, which is how we are communicating now. I was born here in the US and my family's first and only language at this point is English. I was only trying to point out that when my extended family came here they did not all speak English. I wasn't trying to get into a major debate only point out a few other aspects. You are obviously very upset about the non-English Coke commercial and I definitely see your point. I am just not offended. I personally think you are upset at the wrong thing and I am willing to bet that we are in more agreement than you realize.

    "lets deep fry snickers!" Merica!

Its not about everything that is good about America, it's about the bad. I think some
of its funny and 100% awesome but in an official setting its bad in my opinion. More Chuck Yeager and Neil Armstrong and less Axl Rose

Default America Day Ft Collins ?? Sheriff Smith protesting in front of the school - MERGED

Surprised I didn't see anyone mention this?

So back story student council proposed "America Monday" which was shot down as the principal thought it would offend non-American students, what ever that means, damn political correctness. The council then proposed "Merica Day" (bad taste) it was shot down for the same reasons.

So today Sheriff Smith showed up in front of the school to protest and show support to the students, with enough negative response from locals and parents the Principal had to apologize and now there is an "America Day."

The start of it all; Student council told cant celebrate "America" at Ft Collins school it will "offend" non-americans.

Today; Sheriff Smith protests in front of school. School reverses ban and apologizes.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"

Was this a play on the Southpark theme? "Merika"? Just call it America and get on with it. Screw foreigners if they are offended, GTFO! I suspect no one was offended or they wouldn't be here trying to be part of America.
