"How much blood has to be spilled in the streets of America before we say enough is enough?" asked Chief Harper,

Well, when the number of gun deaths gets any where CLOSE to deaths from automobiles, I'll think about it long enough to say, "NO WEAPONS BAN!"

But, that is a point I would have liked to scream out.

I agree Sturtle. Given that there are more violent deaths by automobiles every day in every state than deaths by firearms I wonder if they have considered limiting the purchase of automobiles to just one a month.

Doctors kill more people than people with guns.

The death from doctors stat is misleading though. While it is true, most people don't go see a doctor unless they are in danger of dying in the first place.

He wants the state Legislature to require handgun owners to report to police, within 72 hours, any weapons that are lost or stolen, as a way of reducing "straw purchasers," who sell guns to criminals and report them as lost or stolen.
This is such a phantom 'problem'. The notion that a ban will stop criminals from getting guns is preposterous. Did prohibition work? Did laws against marijuana or cocaine stop people from using them? These gun control freaks have serious issues with the use of logic.

"We need to re-enact the ban on assault weapons. Our officers are out-armed and that has to change."
This is just a blatant lie. The police can buy fully automatic weapons if they want to. If a criminal is using a fully auto weapon, the criminal (surprise) is already breaking the law, so passing a law taking away citizens' rights to AR-15s will just further de-arm law abiding citizens. If the police are too poor to buy good weapons, the answer is to get them money to buy them, not to take away the rights of law-abiding citizens to do so.

I don't know about that,, They had no clue what was up with My foot a couple of years ago.. Took them a day and a half to figure out what it was.. When the Nurse at the desk knew what it was when I first got in there...

full autos are legal...just go through the right steps.

giving the cops more money to buy more guns = more taxes. I would rather keep all my money and hope for the best. then when the libfucks have no one to call when their Java shop gets held up while they talk about the importance of english literature in their most recently viewed play, they might realize they will need to defend themselves and start working toward our side.
