When they come in and have a firearm and havnt even taken it out of the box yet because they are so scared of it, but after a few hours of "educating" and "training" they walk away with a whole new respect, perspective and an understanding of the firearm. So any time I can have the opportunity to talk to someone who is either scared of guns or plain against them I try and educate them of the joys of gun ownership, not discount their opinions or write them off, I'd like to think that education of safe , proper, responsible firearm handing is a positive thing and not negative.

Education is power and nothing is obvious to the uninformed.

This is a great point as well. I grew up in a huge fudd state. Tons of guns, ALL of them for hunting and I don't hunt. I knew NO ONE with a gun for recreational shooting beyond that, or for protection.
I was pro-2A as a concept, but it was really fun for me to move here and learn.
