Default Brand New M&P AR SPORT

    Guys... I just picked up a S & W M&P Sport .556...Couldnt resist the price....
My question is if anyone has had experience with the take down pins...I tried to seperate the upper
just to open it up..and IT WAS STIFF...I needed a punch and a mallet to get it out and tried to put back in and have been unable to do so far...Is there just a break in period or is it not machined to MIL SPEC ? Does anyone have any thoughts ?????
    Thanks

    Congrats on your purchase!

Over time they will loosen up with use. Put a drop of oil on them and that should help. It's better to have them tight than loose.

Guys lets try and keep the thread on topic. I deleted all unnecessary posts.

To the OP, try putting the front pin in when first then "close" the upper onto the lower and then put in the rear. Like mentioned add a drop or two of oil to both front and rear pins. Ten do that like 50 more times and it will break itself in.

    Good luck
