So ... Federal and Remington have allocated a huge amount of .22LR ammo to support Boy Scout shooting programs. Most importantly, it's available which means we won't be scrounging and scrimping and sweating (spent) bullets like we did last year but their prices are also incredible. Their prices reflect material cost increases since the Obama panics but are still below anything on market -- in fact, I suspect they're basically offering it at cost.

I'll be writing the companies thank you letters (or e-mails) but thought they deserved some public kudos too. Of course, now it means I've got a ton of .22LR on my shelf that I had set back in case of emergency this summer ...
