Customer takes gun to another gunsmith. That gunsmith made a video of everything that he (the gunsmith) saw was wrong with the gun (the list was fairly extensive). Then the new gunsmith rebuilds the rifle and, according to the customer, it now shoots like a dream.

all of this is documented in posts on snipers hide, which is why they're getting thrown in the loop.

This same tactic has been fought and successfully defended by yelp and Angie's List.
Do you have a link to this info? Sounds interesting. You just gotta watch a train wreck for the intrinsic entertainment value.

Unfortunately, there's no single site that is tops in all things. While some personalities are abrasive (I'm on a fair number of ignore lists), in order to get the best info in every sector requires a bit of web surfing. SnipersHide (and Frank in particular) might rub some the wrong way but that site has a wealth of long range shooting info on it that isn't cohesively available in a lot of other places.

I'll confess to surfing the web rather widely in pursuit of varied views:

Disaster preps and insight: Louisianashooters.com -they had a front row seat for Katrina and the aftermath
    NFA related: silencertalk.com / nfatalk.com
Gun Control (what the anti's have in store for us): Calguns.net - a look at what all those CA license tags in CO have designs on.
    small bore specific: rimfirecentral.com

While I enjoy CO-AR, my keyboard wanders from time to time and SnipersHide, from what I've seen, isn't the devil.

You just have to be careful with the AAC bias on silencer talk but there's definitely a lot of good (and bad...) information scattered around the various forums.

    -all too aware, sadly.

Each site seems to have their pet brand (there's a shrine to all things BCM on M4Carbine...and I only have BCM uppers but that's a prime example).

Yes, Frank can be like a bad combination of a prickly pear with diaper rash at times, but he does know long range stuff. That said, getting sued for voicing an opinion on a forum, really? There are like three of these now where companies have sued their customers for an opinion. I've heated up a few companies, most recently Froglube and Fireclean, for providing feedback on products. I literally had death threats when I posted the whole issue of lead in Glock barrels in the 1990s, and I have been deposed by a Glock attorney, but never sued by them, in fact I have kept them from getting sued several times. The problem becomes one of vetting on the interwebs...combined with the power of the forums to create or destroy sales, sometimes based on a 17 years olds experience from playing COD in mom's basement.

There is very young guy here in Colorado who was posting this and that about his "kit" on another forum and I happened to know who it was because he had used the site to PM me about shooting 3Gun. He was shooting 2 Hi-points and an 500 at a 3Gun match and wearing a war belt. I jokingly asked him if his STI, POF and M2 were all in the shop at the same time. He giggled, but I have not seen him since.

Yep. And pet personalities. There are some forums that have members it's absolute anathema to disagree with. That's bad juju and unnecessarily stifles discussion IMHO but at the end of the day the site owners have the say.

Back on topic, I remember reading that thread when it was 3-4 pages long. I had no idea it turned into such a nut roll. Best of luck to Sniper's Hide.

Gave away my last bottle of snake oil last month, have fun with that stuff, I prefer Colgate. FrogLube is a joke.
