Question Rear sight movement Trijicon HD

I noticed 3 weeks ago the rear sight on one of my glocks keeps moving left. When I noticed I figured I had just raked it against some wall while it was in holster (gun gets beat around). I had the sight readjusted and have been careful to monitor my actions for anything that would strike the gun in holster during daily activity.

I have not found anything that does this.

Last weekend, after having the sight corrected and having only used the gun at the range I found the sight had moved again. Again- corrected the rear and AGAIN, after a 200rnd session have found that the sight has moved left -noticeable to the naked eye and confirmed with calipers to the same extent as the previous incidents

anyone ever encounter this? Solutions to fix the existing rear sight?

I'd rather not buy another only to have the same thing happen. I am 100% sure that nothing hit the sight and moved it- the sight was aligned upon arriving at the range. this either happened during repeated draws (unlikely?) or during fire (potentially from the massive recoil of 147gr sub 9mm?)

    help please

I can't speak about trijicons but who the the install? Did they use a triangle file to fine tune the sight before pushing it in? My guess is they removed too much.

My truglo TFOs have a set screw to prevent them from moving but even then they are firmly pressed in and I doubt they will shift.

Yeah, even "bumping" against a wall should not cause your sights to move.

Spoke with armorer at Neves today- says it isn't unheard of on older models (mine) and says that once it starts to slide its time for a set screw rear sight.

Only problem is is market is very limited.

Try a small amount of blue Loctite at each end of the sight in the channel after you center it.

I've seen you shoot. I figured you transcended the use of sights months ago.

I'd blue lock tight before JB weld

Thanks for the suggestions guys- I have a combo solution after today- I managed to trade sights to an old version of my current sight that runs a set screw. In addition I am throwing on a drop of loctite on the sides.

If this doesn't work I am out of ideas and I will definitely come to BPTactical for a better fix.

...and no, I haven't transcended sights just yet, though when I see some of the horrible shots I am making I wonder if I am using them in competition.

also- I have the armorers at Neves Uniforms to thank for the sight reinstall and trade. If any of you are LE or GSSF members definitely check these guys out- this is the third time their awesome customer service has given me a same day fix putting one of my Glocks back in action
