That's the first thing you've said in years that I can agree with.. it was a tragedy.. should be mourned as such.. screw the media that plays on it for their own ends. It was a horrific event and much like 9/11 I remember where I was when it happened. We should all learn from the tragic events that led to this. As a parent it has influenced my parenting and the way I look at the world.

All tragedies are a disaster to someone on a personal level but this just illustrates who the media and the current people in power consider friends and enemies or even worse who they are attempting to be friends and enemies with.
    Enemies column
Inanimate objects such as guns and anybody that supports their 2nd amendment rights
American citizens that gather peacefully to voice their opinion on how they believe the government is being run
Our military that is trying to do a dirty job in spite of having their hand tied behind their back.
The US border patrol working under worse rules of engagment than the military
Any large company that dares to make a profit.
Fox news, talk radio and any body else that publicly disagrees with the current administration
Anybody that works hard and greedily wants to keep their earnings

Friends and want to be friends:
Any politician that votes the right (left) way, it doesn’t matter if they are criminals, crooked or just stupid
Castro, Chavez, Putin and any other communist leader that has expressed distain for the US
Achmadinajd and all of the of the other Muslum fanatics that want to impose sharia law world wide
Any other foreign leader that bashes the US to score political points to divert attention from their own failures as leaders
Illegal aliens who are over running us and bankrupting our system
Any left wing nut job spouting the “party line” that have no relation with reality such as the group that claimed 90% of the guns used in Mexico came from gun shows in the US
Any lazy person that believes that they are entitled to others passions for the simple reason they exist
Cop killers, terrorists and other criminals that are either voicing their frustration or just trying to make a living in this terrible country that never gave them a chance

Sorry for the rant, I could go on and on

Al Sharpton was in front of a classroom of 5th graders and asked them what a tragedy is? One little girl said if a bus load of children drove off a cliff, that was a tragedy.

Al said no that would be a great loss.

Another little girl said if a car crashed and a family was hurt or worse.

And Al said again with smuggness for knowing the answer. No little girl that would be an accident.

Then finally Little Johnny stood and said, "A tragedy would be if Al Sharpton's plane crashed killing him."

Al Sharpton said yes that's right. That is a tragedy... but can you tell me why?

Little Johnny said, "Its a tragedy because its not an accident and it's no great loss."

A re-dramatization is on the History Channel right now.

Idiot newsreaders on the local beat I can understand (but not for a week beforehand) national reporting is just the usual shameless chase for ratings and currying favor with like-minded peers.

those two kids that did columbine were nuts, but somehow I don't think it would have ever happened if they hadn't been bullied so much.

I might be inclined to agree with you if they hadnt gone after everything that moved - including many of those that thought were their friends.

Yes and no. Yeah, they were bullied, but ALOT of kids are, and 99.9999999 percent dont go off the deep end like that. You could place the blame on the parents and administraters by saying that "they should have seen it coming and gotten them help" but that would be a cop out. Kids are bullied every day, and alot in worse degrees than these 2 were. these 2 had no respect for humanity, and were over the deep end for reasons that we cant fathom(because if you could, i would be scared of you). They took out whatever aggression they had on whoever was around. If they had been out of high school and in the work force, this would have happened at their jobs.

I was bullied like a MOFO in high school, just right down the road from them. I was a heavy metal kid, spoke my mind, and wasnt afraid of other peoples opinions. That made me a target for all the "popular" kids in high school. I was called all sorts of names, made fun of, and all that jazz because i was different, and I never went over the edge. These kids were just fucked in the head, and thats nobodies fault but there own.

Yes, they were bullied, but so was everyone. Hell, I was on the wrestling and lacrosse team (so most would consider me a jock, even though I wasn't) and I was bullied all the same.

Did anyone watch the re-dramitization? I'm pretty sure Eric's state of mind was the primary cause, and Dylan was more or less just going along with it. At least that's what I want to believe.
