    KISS

The smarts are between your ears. Guns are tools, they don't know anything.

Can't see how the gun would operate without a battery or super cap.

Both have the potential to discharge when left unused for a while.
Keeping it on a charger 24x7 limits to ability to keep it in a secure container, like many safes, and opens up the chanced of theft.
Finding the "wristband" when you need it seems like a recipe to store the wristband with the firearms; similar to how people write their computer passwords on a post-it and stick it on their computer monitors, in an unsecured fashion.

I would really hate to have a need to use this, only to have it "Blue Screen" like my PC or phone or to have the battery be dead.

I would see the technology more practical if it could be used to quickly open a locked container, where my firearm is stored, such as a safe; the safe, also having a non-electronic method of access as well.

It's perfect really. I mean the libs pass these laws making these types of guns mandatory. Colt, Smith, Ruger, Glock etc. quit selling in these states because they don't want to mess with the BS laws and the only guns left that are legal for new purchases are this smart tech stuff and there you have it. They're too expensive and to unreliable so nobody buys legal firearms anymore. Add to that that old guns will be legislated to be modified to 'smart' technology and because they can't then all of us become felons if we don't turn them all in/swap them out. Laugh now but look at the environment our kids will be left with.
Kind of seems like the long range thinking-long term agenda to me, I'd expect to see these laws pass in alot of blue states now that the technology is hitting the shelves and is 'viable'.

Ooooh... I wonder if "they" will be able to disarm the gun remotely like they want to be able to do with cars?

As I mentioned elsewhere, if I had a ton of money, I would buy one. Then I would take more money, and give the gun/watch to some nerds to build a jammer. i suspect it's simple short range bluetooth that you have to pair to each other. Just to prove how simple it would be to defeat it.
    KISS baby!

ETA: Robb kinda beat me to the punch with that one!

I do. I dont like having to pull out my phone whenever I want the time. Plus, it beeps on the hour so it's an easy way to keep track of time without always having to look. Plus it has some other fun gizmos built in like a compass and a thermometer.
