I will make the same offer here that I made to some others.
Buy me the watch and the gun. I, and some esteemed friends of mine, will evaluate the security protocols it uses. We will prove that it is hackable, show that it is unsafe, show that we can remotely enable/disable it at will without the watch, and show that it can be fired without the watch (e.g. we will show that an attacker can disable your gun without your permission, even if you are authorized). We will then present the findings at a major security conference with whole bunches of press around.
This is a real and legit offer. Just looking for someone to fund the project. We have all the high-tech toys to do all the testing, and the engineers are willing to do this pro-bono, just need the gun and watch.

What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?
-- Ayn Rand, Anthem (Chapter 11)
The company is betting that demand for the technology will increase as consumers seek guns modified for safety.
That company is betting wrong... Especially with people who don't know how guns like Glock and Sig Sauer work, I constantly have to use this line:
"There is no news in the truth, and no truth in the news."
"The revolution will not be televised... Instead it will be filmed from multiple angles via cell phone cameras, promptly uploaded to YouTube, Tweeted about, and then shared on Facebook, pending a Wi-Fi connection."
A whole new level of stupid.
Can someone add gun to the title? Damned smart phone typing. Thanks

Well, that didn't take long

Would love to see if any of these A-holes hold any stock in the company that's developed this shit.
I honestly don't think it will pass at all, just based on the fact that they couldn't put together a AWB again after Sandy Hook. If they ever had a chance to make a big step in that direction it was then.
I've been wrong before though.
