Just thought I would let you guys here know about this. There are several topics posted (SnipersHide) about TR.net quality and the absence thereof. Hope Frank shuts this company down.

Kinda reminds me of the Smith Enterprise lawsuit.

Even bumped heads with main moderator over minor crap- his posts to me were a bit harsh . Haven't posted there in many years. Never that problem on this site, thank goodness.

I see we need to dial up the "asshole/god" complex for the staff so that many may feel at home like some other places.

I will say that it seems like staff intervention around here has almost reached an all-time low. I guess many have found jobs these days.

Sod them- not a fan of that site. Joined there way back when they were just starting. My member number was low 3 digit . Fine for a bit but after a few years got fed up with rude members. I can echo this sentiment.

When I first joined (snipers hide), I was posting in a topic that I felt strongly about. I knew I was right (how to actually measure your zero distance). What I was suggesting was a lot of work, yes, but it was a way to get something done without throwing technology at the problem, such as a laser range finder. That was met with instant heart burn coming from the sight owner. I just told him that we may have to agree to disagree on this topic. I then asked a professional (during instruction time) the same question... And guess what? I was right.

.I have a hard time getting over the whole, "it's my site so I can act like an ass but you can't." Attitude. True as that statement may be, I shows more about that guy than it does me.

They have a really neat classified section, along with their reloading and semi-auto shooting sections, is the only real reason I visit there.

Libel, slander, and (I don't know how) assault..

basically, TR built a rifle that the customer thought didn't live up to the price tag. The customer tried to resolve it with TR, but got a 'you don't know what you're talking about' response. Customer takes gun to another gunsmith. That gunsmith made a video of everything that he (the gunsmith) saw was wrong with the gun (the list was fairly extensive). Then the new gunsmith rebuilds the rifle and, according to the customer, it now shoots like a dream.

all of this is documented in posts on snipers hide, which is why they're getting thrown in the loop.


This same tactic has been fought and successfully defended by yelp and Angie's List.
