    Default Adpoted a new pup

My son has been begging for a dog since we returned to the states a few months ago. Today we went to the humane society just to look and they had a husky mix. I honesty think the mix is a cattle dog or similar breed to look at her and her mannerisms. I was EXTREMELY apprehensive because of the husky in her but she seems to be a lover. My son let go of the lead while walking her and I said stop to him but she thought I was talking to her and she ran straight to me and sat on my foot. She listens intently and you can tell is trying to do what you want her to. Just in the short time I was playing with her she was able to pick up a hand signal I use when I tell a dog to sit (she already knows the command sit). I think her intelligence and eagerness to please she will be easy to train. She is a little social butterfly and great with my son, they kinda chose each other. I was going to walk by her but those two decided they were going to play. Unfortunately state law says I cant bring her home until she is spayed which happens Monday. That gives me a couple days to get the house ready for a pup.

Congrats! Don't be apprehensive about the husky in her, the only problem they normally pose is they are unbelievable escape artists.

Yay for a new rescue. Honestly, huskies can be very loving dogs, I have 2 of them. Mine constantly snuggle up to people in the house, part of their pack mentality. But make sure you constantly walk your yard's perimeter to check for digging along the fence or any damage.

If I'm ever at a party and the cops come to arrest people. Ill blindfold myself, throw the ball gag in, handcuff my hands, and hide in a closet. Police never arrest hostages!
