    Default Restoring an old bass

I found my first bass a little while back and have decided to restore her to playing condition. The major parts are still there, though I have no idea if the electronics still work.

The first step will be to clean it up (I have no idea why my 15-year-old self decided Shoe Goo-ing the pick ups was a good idea), then string it to see if it still works. The frets are pretty worn - is there anyone here that can replace them?

One of my brothers builds custom guitars. He swears a monkey could do it.

This place should have everything you need to do the job right....
