Lakeside Speedway in west Denver? Ha! Used to go there (and Englewood) all the time to watch the stock car and midget races on the oval track from the early sixties into the seventies. By then all the cars had roll bars and lap belts (unlike in the video), and probably shoulder harnesses.

There was indoor racing at the Denver Coliseum, I saw figure eight there.

My mother in law did Smash Derby a couple times at Lakeside - I think it was between the races entertainment. I'll have to ask her more details.
