    Default Dual Holster for EDC

Hey guys I looked through this subsection and could not find a definitive answer. If it has been covered please remove. Does anyone use 2 (or more) holsters throughout the day? An example of this might be appendix while you are out and about and then switching to a holster between the seats while in the car for easier use in drawing. I could only imagine what it might feel like getting in a car accident while having a piece of metal between you and the lap belt. So... any thoughts on this?

Like having a Kingston style holster for the seat and transitioning each time you enter/exit the vehicle? For me it would partially violate the principle of concealed carry in the first place.

Yea but theyre both in use. Or I might if I change clothes. I had a friend who did what youre describing. After about a year he just kept a truck pistol and a hip pistol.

This is what I eventually did I got tired of everyone looking at me crazy in the parking lot when I would reholster

I also noticed when I would practice pulling my gun with my seatbelt on in the car I would have problems doing so(seatbelt and buckle in the way) the one and only time I pulled my pistol on someone of course I forgot about my glove box pistol went for the one on my hip and I don't know if it was the practice or luck or what bit I surprised myself with how fast it was out and pointed

I use one, slip it to 430-5 when I get in the truck, move it back to 3 when I get out. Not ideal but better than reholstering.

    OP,

The riskiest, most common moment for a negligent discharge is when you're drawing or re-holstering, especially when trying to do so quickly or in an uncomfortable position such as seated in your car... IMO, minimizing the number of times per day that you're doing either with your loaded gun is probably a good idea.

If you're not comfortable with it IWB while seated, I would suggest finding a new position. I have found a perfect balance of access and comfort for myself at around 4:30/5:00 IWB.
