    Default "Insanity" Workout Series

Anyone else doing it or done it? I just did the day 1 self test. That was humbling...

    Same with P90X.

My parents 66 year-old friend was doing it for a while.

No, sir. Bodyweight stuff is great for conditioning if you can't get into a pool or onto a track. But as far as strength goes, there's nothing that can compare to moving a few hundred pounds, period.

When I was younger, I thought it was a nice warm-up to a real workout. Now I'm pretty sure that I could complete it without barfing. It shows that I'm not as fit as I once was. Apparently, when you get older, you start to be able to do less and less. Dont really believe that, though. I think I just got fat.
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

They need P90x 101 just to get you in shape to take the actually class.

I started insanity a few weeks ago. It is a nice change from my usual running and weight lifting routine.

I had similar thoughts after the fitness test. I am in decent shape, but nowhere near where I now view fit after that test. Especially upper body. I have a really hard time with any of the upper body exercises.

I usually don't have time to follow the program as directed, but try to get in 4 to 5 workouts a week. I have noticed improvements. There is a decent amount of stretching involved and I noticed improvement in that area pretty fast.

Overall I really like the program.

I don't have the motivation for that kind of stuff but I do have the motivation to get underneath a barbell. It's easier to get pissed off at a barbell.

Good to hear. I am pretty skeptical of any new workout program, but I think that's just because I've been getting lazier lately.
