Thread: jobs?

  1. #1

    Default jobs?

So my long time buddy just retired from the Air Force and is heading back here to find a job and a place to live. He's officially out on the 29th, he was an MP.. Anyway, he's looking for a job. It sounds like he'll do just about anything, and has a big interest in building guns. He's got a good head on his shoulders, so if you know anyone who's hiring shoot me a PM. Thanks in advance!

Best way to get in to see me at the shop is to call or email Shannon and make an appointment.

Thanks for the link, I guess I've not seen that thread before. I'll keep an eye on it. I contacted a drivetrain guy I know, just waiting to hear back if he needs a hand. As for TS clearance, I would guess yes. He can't talk about 90+% of what he did. Anyway, thanks for everything folks!

Depends on what he guarded... you don't automatically get a Clearance done on you. Even FOUO stuff you are not supposed to talk about even though it isn't classified.

Secret Clearance is pretty standard, but when you get into more than that, it gets expensive to do the process.

It sounded like he guarded people.

I can ask around. I have a good friend who has security connections with the FAA and CDC up near Loveland/ FOCO.

Is there good work for someone with a TS/SCI near Colorado Springs?.... I'm asking for a friend. My wife is totally happy with me being over seas half the year.

Can't talk about 90+% of what he did? Usually that means "I didn't do much of anything but I want to make it sound good so I'll just say I can't talk about it". Having worked around the military for a long time that's been my experience but rbeau30 is right, technically you're not even supposed to talk about FOUO stuff.

My advice though; have him start looking at www.indeed.com and www.clearancejobs.com. Also if he wants to stay in the government sector he could go through www.usajobs.gov. Lastly if he wants to stay in LE then he can check City and County websites for openings.
