So I got me a Remington 700 .300 Winchester magnum...cause I pretty much got a McMillan stock for free. Any way when I swapped it over, the drop plate won't close up at all if I snug down the bolts. The only thing I can think of is needing to sand down the inside of the stock to get it to drop in a little lower and give me the room that I need to snug it up and have the drop plate work correctly.

Any one else have this problem? If you did, what did you do to correct?
