I loved that game... Then Pro Pilot came out and I played that constantly. Dozens of flights from Denver and Jeffco to Vail and CO Spgs. Then got to fly a 777 simulator at the old United facility at Stapleton. It's really not that hard. This whole thing sounds like a W.E.B. Griffen novel I read about terrorists stealing a commercial jet and planning to crash into Philadelphia.

I win. Alex Jones says so.

You'd think it the Chinese wanted to take it, they'd just steal it out of the hanger overnight

Industial espionage ? They could have bought off an insider with a whole lot less hassle than taking the entire plane and 230 odd passengers for the 20 company reps on board.

The pilot has 33 years in at Malaysia Air, my bet is on the copilot(6 years). Given 8+hours fuel(based on what the "news" reports say), they've got an operational range of 3600+miles...that circle includes most of Asia, the Middle East, a fair chunk of Africa, the 'Stans... lotsa places where they could fly in basically unnoticed, given a fair knowledge of radar coverage.

Still, my question remains... Could it be something else is responsible? Such as:

I can tell you right now that we hear cell phone static as they search for towers in our headsets up front as idiots turn them on while we're on approach. Not sure where your getting your expert data. Saying that flying 777 ....in a sim under guidance of an instructor isn't that hard is like saying that being a cop is easy because your fired a gun. If it was easy, everyone would do it.
