I'm dismayed that evidently I'm the only one who understands the significance of christening a house.

If there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to buy a gun, there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to vote.
For legal reasons, that's a joke.

I'm also with you- my point is just that you don't need to bring in an "expert" to do it...
I do see many are trying to make light of it.
A number of years ago, one of my daughters was having horrible nightmares- she awoke several times screaming, and then would be in hysterics, saying "the house is falling down"... Once it occurred to us it could be spiritual, we prayed against any evil spirits that could be influencing her, and banished them from the house in the name of Jesus... she looked at us, and said "the house is going to be ok" and went back to sleep... that nightmare never returned.
I believe the spiritual realm is very real- but to davsel's point, I don't think they can be photographed- otherwise they would have by now.
If it's stubborn, you need to find what authority has been given/granted to them, and break that tie. It's your house, you can claim authority over it.

The house I used to live in, the lamp in the living room turned off 3 times when my wife was there. I was in the living room once when this happened. The weirdest thing that happened was my wife and I when to some relatives house, the dryer door was opened. I didn't bless the house, but I did read my bible out loud. Nothing ever freaked my wife or I out.
