    Default Surgeon General nominee

    Well, since the Senate Dems removed any filibuster, a simple majority is needed to put this guy in the Surgeon Generals seat!! This guy has never even run a department of a hospital, so he is not exactly qualified to be SG but he's a big Obama buddy. Oh yeah, he's also VERY anti-gun. This guy will not be good for gun advocates for sure.

    And what authority does the surgeon general have over anything other than placing warnings on cigarette packs?

    Look up what the surgeon general does and you will see that it is nothing more than a pat on the back position without any authority to really do anything.
