Man, you are not kidding. That one irks me.

Also, in regard to the light giving away your position debate I will say this. Unless your house is completely pitch black, (blackout curtains, no streetlights, no ambient light at all) your position is already given away. Silhouettes are fairly visible in most "dark" houses.
