I had to edit the title to put single quotes around "ammo can" as I originally read the title to mean that ammo has the ability to run.

I would like to have some of these ammo can's you speak of; what is the best size to get? I only have experience with the 5.56 500 round size; seem sm?all. Don't want to big so I can't carry either. Thoughts

Depends on your needs. I make humidors out of the small 30s and 50s, transport ammo mostly in 50s and store stuff in the 40mms. The 50s are pretty versatile. Id recommend a couple if all you have are 30s.
