    Default AK Optic

I think I want to get an in expensive optic for my AK. It needs to be front rail mounted.

What do you guys recommend for in expensive optics?

Anything on this site any good?

A nice and expensive optic on an AK seems a waste of a nice and expensive optic. The rifle is not built to the accuracy standards to warrant such.
Dust cover mounted optics are a joke, even with a screw-down type dust cover they still dance around.
Forend rails do the same once things get hot unless you put out big bucks for a forend.
Receiver mounted side rail and a redot is all you need.

Ultimak is a solid scout mount. Most of the forends rattle like burt says.

Ultimak also allows a proper cowitness with the micro red dots

I use a Kalinka mount with a Primary Arms and it works great...
