Any one know the exact rules/laws as far as some of these stores selling hi-cap repair kits for the 30 rnd magazines? I have seen them at a couple of shops and was wondering if it is just a matter of time before they get busted.

To the original poster, judging by your screen name, it should have been a no brainier not to ask any questions on this topic.

Okay 007!...I was looking for more info because I've had some people ask me about this and wanted to give them accurate info. Like BP Tactical said there is no specific language in the books, which I have not been able to find anything either. If you ask the guys that are doing it they are going to tell you shit that makes it seem okay to justify their actions and put money in their pockets. Excuse the fuck out of me for trying to see if anyone here knew for sure. You are right being an ffl I should know the answer to topics like this, but I don't. Which is why I was asking you guys here. The act of selling these kits is not something I condone or would participate in and I am not trying to bait anyone in the forum. I just wanted some clarification in the gray area of the law so I would be able to answer to this question and give people accurate information. I was told that this forum was good for info on just about anything, especially info on being an ethical and law abiding shooter. I didn't come here to get called out and accused of some top secret undercover magazine trafficking bust.
No specific wording in the law regarding "Repair Kits" to the best of my knowledge.

Thank you to the local shops for providing these kits.

While the whole magazine ban subject usually drives me nuts, I didn't realize selling rebuild kits was becoming common at this point. LOL maybe I should drag those extra boxes out of the basement and start taking the mags apart...![]()
