    Default Spring turkey

anyone willing or know anyone that will take a trespass fee to hunt turkey. Just looking for a spot to take out my daughter too. tried on public last year it was just a cluster f@ck with people. I know this is a long shot but love to hunt with my daughter and hope to keep her interested by pulling a turkey with her.

Are you hunting OTC or a specific unit? I could probably give you some direction for the eastern plains if your interested but you would still have to knock on doors to get permission but most people hate them and are happy to let you on.

If someone is interested in hunting turkeys in unit 61, the Uncompahgre plateau area south of Grand Junction, I can give ya some leads. I elk hunted that unit two years ago and saw and heard turkeys daily in the area that I elk hunted. It's not real steep and I'd think not much hunting pressure for turkeys. I'm heading to KS. this week for some early archery season action.

try knocking on some doors, you wouldn't believe how much of a hassle they are to a lot of landowners. We used to knock on doors in eastern colorado and many people welcomed us to hunt them.

had a great trip back to the farm in KS. Killed one on the first morning and the 2nd later in the afternoon. Both 2 y/o birds. Both were bow kills at about 12 yards. Both of them gave me some great action. After I shot the 2nd tom, he got flogged pretty hard by a bunch of jakes that had come in also. I've never seen so many jakes in a bunch. I'll post a pic. of them too. Just took pics. of the first bird because they both looked just a like. This 2nd pic. is of all jakes with my hen decoy.
