    Default Coyote Control

My kids babysitters neighbor had their Yorkie ripped to shreds in their backyard off of Quincy and E-470 this past weekend. They called Animal Control and they were no help. This coyote seems to be getting more and more aggressive and they they have more pets and children that play in the backyard. The yard is fenced 4' high and the coyote somehow jumped over it. Any suggestions for this situation? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That sucks.. my only advice is to get taller privacy fence and install dog roller along the top.

That and dont leave pets out during predatory hunting hours

4' is actually an easy hop for most large dogs

Coyotes can get over a lot of fences. 4' fence is no problem. I've seen deer jump over my 6 foot privacy fence with no problem. I think we had another thread about a coyote problem somewhere. From what I remember, legally, you can't shoot it since it's within city limits. Wolf urine around the property line can keep them away but the coyote may get wise to it if he never see's a wolf.

Had a customer lose one of there dogs to a yote in Greenwood Village. Police came out for a week, walking the canal, and shot 12. Told him he could shoot them as long as the bullet didn't leave the property.

Compound bow, problem solved. No firearm discharged within city limits.

Yeah but then you might have a yote running around with an arrow in it and that's gonna draw attention.

What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?
