Can we get some feedback from any of the LE members?

What that articel said was true, most people are indifferent to it. In fact, almost everyone I meet just assumes I'm a cop. The look on their face is priceless when i tell them I'm not.
I spent my Obama Stimulus money on a GUN!

Open carry intrigues me! I never liked the idea of a CCW for many reasons: Cost, it smacks of "registration", I want to carry larger gun than I can hide in my pants.

My only concern right now is with work. I'm a service electrician and I wouldn't want to make customers uncomfortable. Besides, it might be a pain to crawl through an attic with a Glock on my side. My other idea would be to leave it in my van during the day and only wear in during those late night jobs or those in bad areas where I'm by myself. The problem with that is how to protect it in the van should someone break in.

Edit: I just thought of another issue: Many of the places I work, do not allow guns and personally, I don't have much choice of customers and wouldn';t want to limit them anyway because they or their company chooses to limit guns on their property whether or not I agree. I also work in schools.

So, the question is: How do you secure a gun in a vehicle while still keeping it accessible?

Oh definately! I have tools and wire, etc. I guess I'm mainly worried about them using the gun on me or someone else. Maybe I think too much.
