A few years ago, I fired a friend's rifle and I'm trying to recall what it was. Unfortunately, my buddy is no longer around to ask and I have no contacts for his family to discuss it with them.
It was a precision rifle (chambered in .308 if I remember correctly) and the only real identifying aspect I can specifically recall was that it had a rather unique safety. In searches through the Precision Rifle Porn thread to narrow things down and then using Google, I think it may have been an Accuracy International product. Here's a pic I found online of an AI safety and this seems very close to my memory of the rifle I shot:
Are there any other rifles that use a safety like this or is AI the only one? It seems pretty unique so I'm hoping that even if there are others that use something similar, it will narrow me down to 2-3 manufacturers. Additionally, the AI website refers to it as a 3-position safety but this isn't ringing a bell at all from the memory I'm working with. What exactly does AI mean by a 3-position safety? Thanks.
