Default Wal-Mart Pre-purchase of Lone Survivor not viewable yet

Ran to Wal-Mart tonight and while walking the aisles I passed the DVDs and noticed that Lone Survivor is available for pre-purchase. I had done this with The Walking Dead S3 and was able to watch the series immediately. No such luck with LS. I called up VUDU, the folks who stream the movie, and was told the film is not yet available to watch despite the LS cardboard placard stating you can watch the movie before the DVD ships. Now I will grant that the placard doesn't say you can view the movie immediately, but operating on my previous experience with TWD pre-purchase, I assumed I could watch the movie tonight. When I asked to speak with a manager at VUDU I was told one wasn't available, but they would give me a free rental credit. I kindly told them where they could stick that. Drove back to Wal-Mart and returned the movie and told them they should let folks know the movie isn't available to be watched yet. Last time I ever fool with VUDU.

And they wonder why people pirate movies....

Now I don't condone theft, but there are a few sites out there where you can stream and "redeem your copy"

The physical disk doesn't come out until June from what I can tell. The point of pre purchase is that you receive a code to unlock the ability to stream the movie now, and then once the disk does come out they ship you a hard copy.

Can't blame Walmart if the studio hasn't got the video ready for streaming yet. Some Hollywood liberal probably thinks he's being smart by not allowing the stream until he absolutely has to.
