Default 1911 bushing and screw problems

Have many 1911s and never had this problem before. Just bought a Smith and Wesson 1911 Compact. Went to install prerace finger grips underneath the installed grip. Removed the grips and the bushings and screws came out on three. They are locked tight and quite honestly I figured I could reorder some bushings and hex screws instead of the slotted which I have done before. So I go to removed the last bushing and the darn slots strip on me. That last bushing is stuck and will not come out.

I have stopped where I am. I guess I could try Bowers or BP or DCP. I am sure one of those guys could remove it right away. My other question is there anyone local with grip screws and bushings. The ones I ordered are a week out. Thanks for an ideas or help!

I've had this happen and just use some vice grips to get the one bushing out of the frame and to separate the screws from the bushings that came out.

When you get the new ones make sure to locktite or have them properly staked. You can find the staking tool at brownells. I prefer the locktite myself as I think it makes taking them out easier, just don't over torque them.
