Judging by the tone of his post, he probably doesn't hunt (likely doesn't agree with it), so since he doesn't, he thinks people who do hunt should use the hardest, least successful means possible. Kind of like people who don't like guns think you should have the smallest capacity mags to defend yourself with.
The argument between hunting methods have been around ever since mankind have been domesticated. Inline vs tradition muzzleloading. Traditional archery vs modern archery. Semi auto vs bolt action vs single shot. Rifle vs archery. Just get sick and tired of the elitist bs. Hunting should be a deep almost spiritual experience with nature. The means are not so important. Clean kills and not being wasteful with the kill is far more important than method. I BTW hunt with a compound bow, bolt action rifle, and a handmade Henry Trade rifle replica.

To anger a conservative, lie to him. To anger a liberal, tell him the truth.
Less than 1% of all hunters take 90% of the hunted game.
Most are just donating to protect wildlife and improve the state parks (yes that is where most of license fees go)
Most hunters are so unsuccessful that it is more or less camping and hiking with a gun.
I personally received a comment from someone I knew that said it was unfair to be able to hunt with a shotgun. It's too easy. You can't even miss. Or so he stated.
I took him to a sporting clays range to try it. Out of 250 rounds fired, he didn't even hit ONE clay!! He changed his mind that day.
Hunting, whether it is shooting a standing animal at close range, hitting a flying bird or attempting to shoot a fleeing animal takes trained skills. Maybe the primary skill is finding the game in the allowable season. Sometimes it is a difficult shot. Sometimes it is getting close enough to even take a shot. These are all skills that can be taught; but most are not born with.
I have no problem with anti-hunters and their opinion. Most have no idea how their food arrived in the grocery store. (fruits and vegtables included) They think meat comes in styrofoam containers.
Most of the time it just shows an intelligence level.

I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
As to the woman, I wouldn't post something you aren't willing to take flak on. But if I received death threats some some liberal anti-hunting douche bags I would invite them to try to take their threat to the next level. When I was finished I would get them mounted as well.
I'd get their number, then call them and say, "F YOU!" Haha, that'd show 'em.
