Default Does anyone here offer hunters safety?

I'm looking to take a hunters safety class. I would really like to not have to give up 16 hours for a survival class. Are there any 1 day classes offered?

I looked here and saw that times varied, some 2nd days were only a half day. I didnt know if hunters safety was like a ccw class, where there's a list of people on a website but there are a ton other people who can offer a class as well.

There are places that offer it, I took my wife and her kids to Gander Mountain to do theirs. They only had 1 day in class, but they had to do a lot of homework on the DOW website and print it out to turn in at the class. They did 8 hours of classes then met up at a DOW site and each had to fire 10 rounds from a .22 LR bolt gun to make sure they could operate a firearm. I sat in on it since her two kids were 11 and 9 when we went through and thought it was pretty good between the homework and class work. For the kids under 13 they had them take the test separately so an instructor could read them the questions and try to explain what was being asked better. I usually don't recommend GM for much, but that class was good as all 3 of them learned a lot and passed with having no prior hunting experience.

Have you checked the on-line classes?
