Here is how you put an end to this...use a digital camera so you arn't out the $ for film...then make sure you shoot every photo of only their crotches. Cut the heads off on all photos...things like that. They may be able to force you to take photos but they cannot force you to take good photos.

The photographer could have very easily called back the happy couple and simply said "there was some confusion with our scheduling, I'm afraid we are already booked".
I cannot think of any couple that would knowingly hire someone that expressly didn't want to shoot their wedding, -the couple seems to want to make a statement.
I cannot think of any photographer that could not have very easily gotten out of this via any number of excuses, -the photographer seems to have wanted a little limelight as well.
The two sides seem made for each other, enjoy!

Which is why you fight that with the passive agressive technique...agree to the shoot and then completely mess it up...out of focus...cut the heads off the photos...shoot crotches...basically give them absolutely unusable photos.
