Hey guys, just to clarify....I was not/am not looking for a rock crawler or something that can climb up Kim Kardasians back side!! Just a reliable commuter with a little soft off roading now and then.

I should have made my post more clear...such as....does anyone own one? Have they had any problems? Is the new 9 speed crisp! Is there any recommendations on which package to get....... ect

My bad, I will crawl back into my hole with my tinfoil hat on now.

It's not built for "soft" offroading. My Frontier is built for soft off roading. That Cherokee is a soccer moms SUV.

Saw one (trail hawk) at Chick Fil A tonight, driven by........... ( wait for it) a soccer mom. It could be the best vehicle on the market they are just funky looking.

My only recommendation as a car guy is if you get one, lease it. With the exception of Wranglers Jeeps depreciate faster than you can imagine. With a first year model that may or may not be a success you don't want to be stuck with one of those cars that didn't last and you owe a fortune on something that's worthless.

Why do people go to an Internet forum "for advice" and then argue with everyone who tells them something they don't want to hear? It's been for sale for 8 months and you think they'd have worked out all the bugs by now? What?!?!?!?

If you want to buy it, then just freaking buy it but don't pretend you're coming here to ask for advice on it when you argue with everyone telling you "trail rated" is marketing garbage, first model year is usually problematic, etc.

Wyokid, it looks like it should do what you want it to, despite our lack of interest in the vehicle. If it's what you want go for it!

Whos arguing here? Forums are a place to get information and communicate with people! Thats the whole concept! Its not pretend, its real!! Maybe its not for you, maybe you should delete your account if you feel that way!! Some of us like to educate ourselves before purchasing!!
