I hear you...Im hoping they have fixed the "bugs" by now. I think they released it last October!?!? Some people hate the looks of it and some like it....I happen to like it....and im not in a hurry to decide...I love the Jeep Rubicon but not practical for me. Thank you everyone!

    10 SUVs to avoid 2014

3 out of 10 are Jeep products. I sell cars for a living and the only Jeep I'd even consider is a Wrangler. Maybe a Grand but those things are north of 50k and for that money I've got lots of options.

I've seen Outbacks do some decent trails but I still wouldn't expect much out of this new Cherokee. Personally if I was going to get a new SUV, I'd get something that was proven. An Xterra or 4Runner come to mind. They could handle decent trails and still do very well on the highway. Your highway mileage won't be 31 but you also won't be driving a giant penis.

But if it's a TrailRated Giant penis is it ok?

consumer reports said they "came away underwhelmed," calling the 9speed transmission "unrefined." they said handling lacks agility , the ride is choppy and visibility is so-so.

and no, the bugs would not be worked out until the next model year at the earliest.

I believe they tested the smaller 2.4 4 banger engine in that report! I read it too in my research.

Only if you saved the coin and bought the badges online. I might have a couple badges somewhere around here from my Liberty if he wants them. Hell, my Liberty did better offroad than the new Cherokee will.

Justify a giant penis anyway you feel necessary. Lol. I'm biased though. I can't believe they badged that thing as a Cherokee.

Now that I am a Mopar guy, I'd go with the Cherokee SRT8 for a traveling vehicle.
