    That would still be a manual transmision with set gears. I am talking cvt like what nissan an subaru have used. I think you can get it on the maxima, but not sure if they mate it to the v6 or not. I believe subaru used a metal belt, not sure what nissan uses. Volvo may have had one too. Mabe two belts with two sets of pulleys to get better control of rpms and it may lower the amount of torque each belt would have to hold.
