And to everyone hating on Boulder.... my first choice was Jeffco - probably Evergreen. (Hell I'd love to live on the Western Slope, but it's too far away from DEN). Unfortunately, my girlfriend received a job offer in Boulder and we've got to follow the work. I can't ask her to commute Evergreen to Boulder every day. But if anyone has any suggestions on other places to live, I'm all ears. I haven't signed any lease yet. From my perspective, as long as it's 20 min or less from Boulder, and preferably in the foothills/mountains, I'm totally open.

Well I live in Erie, and work in south Boulder. My Wife works in Boulder too. Takes us about 25 minutes to get to and from work. Boulder is very expensive, and for the most part run down. We got a much newer and bigger house in Erie than we could have closer to Boulder. I'm not sure what you are looking for (apartment, condo, house) but look in Louisville, Superior, Erie, Lafayette. You can also look in Broomfield or Westminster, they are close to boulder but might take you longer due to highway traffic. I would say stay away from Longmont, not really worth the commute. Just my opinion though.
And Welcome!
I am sorry. But welcome to CO
Welcome to Colorado's 2nd congressional district where your representatives don't give a damn about you unless you're a liberal pot smoking obamacare loving tool.
Welcome to CO! There are some great options for living close to Boulder. I live in Louisville and it's a quick and easy drive into Boulder. Boulder is very expensive to buy or rent in and they will choke you to death with regulations. It is a scenic location though. If you want to be in the foothills, Nederland or Lyons might be a good option. Golden is a cool town. 93 can get pretty busy around rush hour. No matter where you end up, it's better than Jersey.
