    Default glock 21 or XD-45?

okay... so its kinda late to be asking, but im going to jensens tomorrow, and i plan on either getting a glock 21 or a XD-45. i already have a XD-9 and i like it alot... but i still dont know which to get. any opinions?

and also... is the Glock 21 SF just a slimmer frame than just the normal 21?

I've shot both, and I gotta tell you, the XD has a bout 25% less recoil., and is a better quality gun (No offense to you GLock guys out there)
I spent my Obama Stimulus money on a GUN!

which one will be the most cost effective for the extra mags you will be buying?
If you have a XD in 9, having the same ergonomics in another caliber would be the way to go.
of course once @ jensens you may find they have 1 or the other or out of stock on both.

I got the 21SF and like it better than the XD. I don't like the look of the XD. I do like the value of the XD package. I'd take an XDM if they made it in 45. Bet its in the works for a latter day. If you do go 21SF don't get the one with the picatinny rail for holsters aren't readily abundant for it. I got the pic rail model and had to look around for a holster. Ended up with getting a blade tech for like $125. That rail is unnecessary on a pistol. The glock rail is just fine. I took a Glock armorers course and the Glock rep even said it was dumb. Glock tried to get in on the bid for a ARMY contract and he said that was what the ARMY was looking for. Glock didn't get awarded the contract. Its a toss up. I like less safeties IMO. GO GLOCK!

M&P .45. Slightly lower ammo capacity but is the best of both worlds, plus its US made, unlike either of the other offerings.

I got the XD .45 when it first came out, for my 21st birthday.

I have heard that they have improved in this respect, but the XD .45's trigger in my particular instance was HORRIBLE. Spongy, tons of creep. I could shoot better with any other pistol simply because of that.

Definitely check out the trigger before you commit to an XD. Crisp is the word, and I'd pass on it if it was spongy.
