anyone have problems with ar15.com?

i was a member there for about a year, bought and sold some stuff, made posts etc. bought a scope from a guy who only accepted MO, and the MO got lost. granted i was stupid for not having the receipt or back tag, but it was only for $45 so i didn't really think about it. anyways, told the guy i could send him a new one while i try to find out what happened, but instead he opens a complaint, gets me banned without even being able to say what happened or what was going on. anyone else have this happen? apparently if you don't have over 1k posts, your views are worthless. they started a thread about me that i can't answer in because i am banned, and everyone saying how i welched on the deal and the guy won't reply to my emails. its crazy!

I have not had any issues with anyone of the board. Granted I try to make every transaction a FTF to avoid such issues.

yeah it seems people here are a lot nicer and understanding. ill just post the details, its no big deal or anything. basically i told a guy id buy his spotting scope. i had bought and sold several things on the board, never a problem. anyways, he only accepts money order so ok, i go to the post office, send one off for $45. generally i do get delivery confirmation, but i wasn't that worried about it, its $45 and ive never had issues with usps. stupid on my part, i know, and i own that. anyways, a week later the guy emails me asking where it is. i had a six hour exam so didn't get it til that night, but before i could even respond an action had been opened against me and all these people were posting in the thread about how it must be a welch, etc, etc. i get on am im like what the hell, can you give me even half a day to answer you? i mean i figured we could hand it outside of the site, and if it couldn't get resolved thats when you go to the site. anyways, i didn't have the stub either, so i called usps, they said they can't track it without that unless someone tries to cash it. so i call them again like a week later and some random guy tells me someone tried to cash it and they asked for id and it was someone else so they cut it up. he said i could give his number to a clerk at my post office and he could explain. sounds weird, but whatever. im not sure if hes just covering usps's ass or what. i email the guy and tell him i can resend it if he still wants to go through with the deal, but he never replies. so, my account gets banned, without anyone telling me, and they go on and on in the thread about how much BS it is and how im a liar and welcher, and of course i can't respond.

finally after three months i email the site and ask whats up with my account, they tell me its banned until i resolve the issue. i said i tried contacting the guy and he never responded. so they in turn call me names, tell me its not their fault, i need to solve the problem yada yada. even if i could, i wouldn't take my account back. theyre all a bunch of douches

ive had a few help me out, but easily twice as many say things for stupid questions, not an expensive enough rifle, not an expensive enough scope, why would you ever spend under $1200 for a rifle, etc, etc. its so annoying

ok, sorry for the vent and long story. i just felt like i needed to get it off my chest. ive got over 150 100% positive feedbacks on ebay and several on ar15.com, they won't even give me the benefit of the doubt.

I haven't really had any problems on arfcom.

only got a 2 day suspension once because some guy had pmags for $40 each and I offered him $15 each (about 10 of them)

nothing happened for about 2 weeks, but after 3 or 4 guys ragged on him about the price, a mod came in and locked us all for 48 hours.

I emailed him and said mine was a legit offer and I would have paid had he accepted. he unlocked me right away and that was that.

id din't have a single issue for almost a year. well, except the random comments about how my del-ton $600 rifle wasn't good enough and my $100 scope wasn't good enough, but you can get that anywhere. i just feel like theyre sticking it to me just because, without even hearing me out.

I signed up and it seemed ok, then one day I got banned for using the word 'negro'.

the mod that banned me is black, go figure.

I sent several emails trying to correct the situation. I got one reply from the site owner that told me to work it out with the mod. The mod would not return my emails.

Been banned once for asking a question about a for sale ad. But lately when I get back on I get tired of how long it takes to load so I leave.
