The AVs controlled most of the first part of OT but Hedja and another guy didn't get enough body on the scorer and Varley was distracted by another Wild player. I thought both teams looked tired in OT.

Tyson Barrie is out for 4-6 weeks after Cooke kneed him. Cooke got a 2 min minor at the time, hopefully that goon douche gets suspended. It was pretty obvious that it was intentional. He should have to sit out until Barrie gets back. I'm all for good, hard hits, but when your intent is to hurt another player, you should have to sit as long as the other guy is out.

Cooke should have received a match penalty for that obviously deliberate and illegal hit but nothing was done by the game officials. The Avalanche didn't retaliate immediately, we'll see what happens in game 5. I hope the AVs keep their heads and just win the next game and finish out the series here.

The same thing is happening in the Chicago/St Louis series except that Seabrook put a stop to it. St Louis lost their captain for while, Backus is a shithead anyway so some karma there. I say what happened to Backus is karma b/c I know his history with the Avalanche.
