I think the comparison to picking cotton as a job coupled with the subject of slavery was probably not the best choice of words. I agree with him in that having 3rd and 4th generation welfare families is evidence that something is really wrong. Humans really need to understand the rewards of the fruit of their labor to fulfill their full development as members of a society.

This was my problem with it, his words were poorly chosen and poorly timed considering he has other issues to deal with still. The problem is the gov telling people that it's ok for them to take handouts long term and the media making it a race problem which allows people like Sharpton and Jackson to get on TV and say it's whitey's fault that minorities have higher poverty rates (even though they themselves are wealthy) and therefore rich and middle class white people should pay higher taxes to be redistributed to the poor.

The dude is under the national microscope now and will constantly have cameras stuck in his face by reporters hoping he'll say something stupid. I'm sure they were trying to get him to say something like this so they could take the wind out of his sails. But of course, ANYBODY with little public relations experience would eventually say something stupid that the media could tear apart. The only way to avoid it is to never say anything on camera.

How well did that go for us as a nation? News alert.....it's not just blacks that are perpetually in this system and that constantly receive govt aid. Actually there are far more whites receiving federal aid than blacks. The percentage is the the same, around 39% for each group, but the number of whites is around 70% as opposed to 12.5% for blacks. Ever been to Tennesse, Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, LA, Mississpi etc?

Put down the frozen latte, take a deep breath, and go back and watch the video clip of what Cliven Bundy actually stated. Then, if your panties are still in a bunch, maybe you can point to what it was he said that is not true.

I watched the whole thing and still have a problem with the BLM's actions. I have a problem with you you saying " is there anything he said that is not true?. I don't wear panties or drink lattes.
