    Default Lost Drivers License Question

My wife lost her ID last night and looking at the DMV page she does not have any of the documents required to prove identity.

Does anyone know if her CHP will work? If not any ideas about providing identity?

***Closing the loop in case anyone has the same question.

Getting the replacement was very easy; they did ask for the birth certificate and proof of address (any bill will do). She also said the CHP will work as proof of identity if your picture isn't already in the system and that the old one with the address used to work for address as well.

    Thanks for the help

She probably needs to find the other IDs. She doesn't have her birth certificate or passport or a copy of her drivers license or copy's of any of those things?
im not sure a CHp would work the the dreaded DMV. But worth a shot

She doesn't have an old ID or passport and none of the other things you mentioned count to prove identity. We're thinking birth certificate, marriage license and CHP. Not sure it that will work but I can't think of anything else.

She (and everyone else in Colorado) will need her social at her next license renewal anyway, so finding it will be a good idea.

And have fun at the Social security office... that place is a new low worse than the DMV. I had to get new cards for my kids after the hooker ex wife stole everything I had and then some.

Well that sucks; I haven't seen my card in years. What changed with the law? I just did some searching and I can see where you have to provide your SSN but it says you do not need to show the card.

I actually think we have hers so we should be good there.

Good, so no SS card required.
