Default Trading Post suggestion regarding sold items

I read a rule on another site that I agree with and would like to see on here. It says "Do not delete ad text or subject lines... Leaving the subject lines and prices intact allows others to search items out and gauge current market value."

It would be nice to look in the for sale sections and see what people are selling and what it's going for.

edit: In the current rules: xv. When your item(s) have sold or become otherwise unavailable, update the thread, then PM a mod or report your thread to be closed.

This is fine to lock the thread, but I feel people shouldn't delete all the pictures, the price, and the description.

I used to like it better when I could totally delete an ad after I sold something.

I hate scrolling through and finding something I want only to click on the ad to find out it's sold.

The solution for that is have people just edit the title with SOLD in caps.

Meh. I'm inclined to leave it as is. People are free to either leave the info or remove it however they wish. No need to enforce something, leave it up to the individual.

I prefer to see what items have sold for, but agree it shouldn't be an enforced policy.

It's been discussed many times before. Terms and conditions of a sale are between the buyer and seller. Just because a gun is listed for $500 does not mean it sold for $500.
