I would like to hear about this. I am strongly considering a dash/interior/exterior cam setup

We had a claim with conflicting stories, where both versions of the story sounded legitimate, with no other evidence to tell what really happened. A dashcam video told the story without a doubt and saved a commercial driver a lot of grief. If you can afford it, I say do it.

DoD LS400W is what i have, DoD is the best dash cam right now because of their wide dynamic range for night time video quality.
true 1080P wide 140ยบ angle lens, F1.6 big aperture for superb low light performance

I did a lot of research and compared even Garmin (yes they make them too), nobody has the clarity of the DoD night time videos, a lot of them gets over exposure from sitting in traffic with brake lights and street lights that the license plates of other cars are hard to see.

brb got class now. will post more info tonight

Here's a couple of good sites for dash cam info -

    http://forum.dashcamtalk.com
    http://www.techmoan.com

I went with the Mobius Actioncam. Inexpensive, good quality and will use it for other things like kayak fishing, shooting etc. I'm also planning on one more for back facing video.

Hope no one minds if I do slight thread hijack:

Anyone add a rear-mounted camera? Not for recording, but more for help with tight parking/safety. Garmin has a pretty snazzy system to go along with a couple of their navigators, unfortunately it's a million dollars ($399 MSRP). I'm obviously not opposed to adding a another small display screen up front to display the rear-view.

Kestrel. There are $100 solutions all over the place.

I have a 720p dual front facing camera. Its a pain right now because all of my plugs are hot. I need to wire one to accessories.

Ill be working on that during my lunches this week
