Default Suggestion among brands for my Cabela's work rewards.

Have $250 to Cabela's thru work rewards. (Suppose I could use it on home depot or clothes/pet crap.) I'm looking for suggestions on how to make the most of my money at Cabela's. I may try ordering my sks stock online thru them finally, or some other odds and ends I need. Or just use it to pay the premium price they want for a versamax. Any ideas other than ammo that is a better bang for buck there?

As far as ammo, I havn't been paying attention to what folks were saying about different stuff.

Any votes between 55g FMJ American Eagle Vs PMC Bronze? One have better cases than the other for reloading? Identical price. Or UMC for 3c/round cheaper.

Everyone still like Hornady Steel Match BTHP's? Box I bought a few years back seemed popular as fairly high end target/varmit/coyote ammo on the cheap. Reputation still good? (.50 cents a round, not plinking ammo, but decent price to load up on for light hunting/paper target showoff/leave loaded for @ home?)

Is there any commercial (IE @ cabelas) remanufactured .223 or 9mm that is actually good savings/quality/possibly worth saving for reloading? I know theres a few companies out there we did the group buys from and another one that's been popular but I forget the name, but I doubt cabelas would have them.

Any recommendations for bulk 12g for my 930/KSG/future versamax? Does everyone for fooling around stick to birdshot, or go in between with like turkey loads, or just swallow price of buckshot? Buck seems .75/rnd except for some herters buck for .55?

Save your GC on the sks stock. There are so many used / aftermarket stocks for $0.30 on the dollar, out there.

Can you get the rewards card somewhere you shop normally already? That'd let you "convert" it to cash and you wouldn't be forced to use it at Cabelas.

(My company does small bonuses as gift cards with Cabelas & many others as option but I just get em for amazon)

Cabela's carries the Remington Gun Club, even in the 1145 fps versions, at a decent price.

Steel match is okay out of metal magazines. Chews up the front strap of PMags and may not feed well. For .223 ammo, go with Freedom Munitions. Better prices and decent accuracy.

Some Cabela's branded gear is very good, and a good value with lifetime warranty (boots, some of the outerwear, etc.), but unless on sale, I avoid buying other brands from Cabela's.

Under Armor ANSI rated sunglasses are supposed to go on sale in-store soon...

No, I dont buy tons of stuff, none of it's usefull like groceries or fuel. So basically again was hardware/clothes/aquarium crap/guns

As far as freedom etc, ya that's why I was thinking of but couldnt remember name. I'll use that in the future, but for now it's just what's best option at cabela's.
Sunglasses sounds good, but I need RX and have a good pair now. Maybe I'll just get a 30' dog rope and a years supply of bones.

They had Lake City M193 on sale for $9 a box a few days ago. Dollar and a half cheaper than Walmart.
