Why should i work at a warehouse / bank / Dr. Office/ security guard / TEACHER, for $11 when i can make $15 flipping burgers?

Sounds like there may be some jobs repairing fast food kiosks opening up soon.

That is my biggest problem with these high targets for minimum wage. You're making all the low skilled jobs that were making above minimum wage into minimum wage employees, who within a year of this being in effect will find their purchasing power has dropped substantially.

No. Those jobs will increase their wages and adjust for the increased cost of living.

Once everything settles out the people making minimum wage will still barely make ends meet and the skilled workers will be making five to ten times more than minimum wage. Just like it is now. Only difference is everything in the area is going to cost double what it used to.

I can't wait to taste a $10.00 Whopper! It should taste better than a $6.00 one right?
    Automation?
This does have a huge unseen economic benefit, fast food joints just outside of Seattle should see an influx of business.

Don't think for a second that automation means lower prices either.

There will be some price increases but the real downfall will there will be less jobs available. In addition, the employers will demand more from the employees since they are making more.
