    Default Generac Pressure Washer

Lowes has a pretty good looking Generac pressure washer on sale. 2800 psi, 2.5 gpm for $280. Anyone have experience with Generac motors?
It seems to get good reviews but I'm not familiar with Generac motors/products, just Briggs and Stratton.

2800 psi is a waste of your money & time. You could rent a 3500psi and up for 1/4 of that price and get the job done. Up side is generac makes a good product.

I'd say rent one too. I bought a smaller gas unit a few years back. I used it the one time, no it just takes up room in the garage.

I have a Generac "OneWash" variable pressure washer I picked up a year or two ago at either Costco or Sams. Did a little research and it's almost identical to this one on amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Generac-6602-P...dp/B00IEO8BAK/. At the time, I was able to find quite a few very good reviews. I figured it wouldn't cost me much more to buy it (was on a pretty good sale) than it would for the several times I'd need to rent it. I like it, but the point about it taking up space in the garage is a good one.

I've only had it a few years, but it works very well so far, and I don't regret my purchase at all.

Bought a pressure washer equipped with a Honda engine three years ago and used it only twice so far (to remove a ton of adobe mud from the car undercarriage). Worked great but gotta remember, they do have to be winterized!

Yep. I've got a Porter Cable pressure washer w/the Honda engine that was high dollar when I bought it that just sits. In fact, the last time I needed it it wouldn't start after sitting for a couple of years so I busted out my crappy electric one. It took more effort but completed the task at hand so I'm selling my gas powered one on Craigslist now. I took it to a small engine mechanic I trust and he went through it and it purrs like a kitten now. Someone is going to get one heck of a pressure washer for a lot less than new.
