    It's easy to miss in Episode 3, but there is some reference to the 501st. In the Star Wars "Expanded Universe" novels there are many references, all are a tribute to the "501st Legion Of Stormtroopers" which is an Imperial-based (movie quality) Star Wars costuming club. I'm a member with my own Stormtrooper costume (I need to loose weight before I'll look decent in it again). My club ID is TK-1188; I'm currently an "inactive" member. George Lucas/Lucasfilm finally embraced the 501st around 2003 and made them "canon". http://www.501st.com

    No wonder the 501st Mountain Garrison only had a few people and very few photo ops at StarFest today.
